Boogie Mites Arctic Adventure
Singing and dancing have always been a most uplifting way for group celebration events, whether they be birthday parties, weddings, religious festivals or sporting occasions. As we begin the second half of Autumn term, it’s time to start thinking about celebrating the run up to Christmas and maybe even planning an end of term celebration event with your early years team and children.
We all have our favourite seasonal songs, but why not spice up your festive selection this year with some new songs, and let Boogie Mites take the pressure off the Christmas celebration planning?
Boogie Mites have created a themed workshop pack – Arctic Adventure – which comes complete with:
- Nine downloadable Christmas songs with additional instrumental versions
- Videos of six of these songs in action to model delivery
- Song lyrics with actions
- Suggestions for practising and performing each song
- Ideas for props and instruments
- A suggested performance order for a non-religious Christmas show
- Script for older children or adults
This means that all of the festive planning is done for you! Take the extra pressure off your already-crammed workload and celebrate the season with a dance around after lunch, a series of festive circle times, or even a performance for the parents!
The Arctic Adventure workshop pack allows you to introduce 9 songs in the weeks preceding an end of term celebration, including some adaptations of old favourites with a Boogie Mites twist, as well as original Boogie Mites tunes which are sure to have you singing and dancing along in no time!
Included Songs:
Wave Hello Now It’s Christmas – sing, dance and wave.
Here We Go Round the Christmas Tree – join in this fun Boogie Mites twist on a traditional song.
Jingle Bells – fly through the sky to the arctic to meet Santa and his elves.
The Arctic Hop – join the penguins the seals and polar bears for a dance at the seasonal celebration dance.
Christmas Cake – tap out the rhythms of favourite seasonal foods.
Tap Tap Elves – help the elves make toys for the children.
Here We Go Round The Christmas Tree – join hands for a group seasonal celebration dance.
When Santa Got Stuck – a joyful tale of a Christmas Eve mishap!
We Wish You A Merry Christmas – a final traditional song to end your festivities.
Best of all, as well as celebrating this special time of year, the children will be getting their daily dose of brain boosting music activities, strengthening the super power of sound processing/rhythmic awareness whilst extending attention span, boosting neural networks and bonding with the group and community.
The songs selected for this Christmas-themed programme can be put together to provide a fun and bonding celebration music workshop that can be practised throughout November/December, in anticipation of the end of term celebration event.
