What makes Boogie Mites different?
There are many pre-school music groups around but Boogie Mites is different in many ways.
Original music and fabulous songs loved by adults and children alike
Homemade, eco-friendly props and instruments: Using recycled materials makes our music sessions colourful and fun. Craft and music sessions allow children to get involved and make their own musical props and instruments – far more fun than plastic mass produced items.
Creative, participative, active and flexible format: Boogie Mites structured learning format offers plenty of scope for self-expression. Making sure that mixed age groups from 6 months to 5 years enjoy our songs and workshops, with different benefits derived depending on stage of development.
Themed songs and workshops to support learning: Inspired by music, little learners explore the world through role-play and themed songs.
Many songs and activities using rhythm sticks to ‘feel the beat’: Every workshop contains one of our many fun tapping songs. Rhythm sticks are a fabulous literacy aid for pre-school children and aid co-ordination and rhythm skills at earlier stages of development
Cross-curricular links supporting the EYFS and endorsement from EYFS professionals and practitioners. Boogie Mites workshops and songs are linked to competencies and goals across all six areas of learning in the EYFS and because children respond so well to working with our songs and musical activities, our music programmes are very popular with Early Years professionals advisors and practitioners.
Passion for singing and a belief in the power of music to support Early Years Learning is shared by all the Boogie Mites Teachers, who bring the experience they have gained through their various backgrounds including primary teaching, speech and language therapy, musical theatres and special needs to make Boogie Mites music and movement programmes and workshops unique.
